Si Si

An at-risk family

Children in Plight—Si Si. Si Si’s parents are both afflicted with severe special needs. Her little brother is mentally delayed. Her aged grandma, with a small amount of government subsidy and a meager income from scavenging, struggles to support the family. Now Chunhui Children is bringing them hope. The grandma begins to smile and Si Si learns to take up the challenges that come along.

The audience were struck by what the children have been through and impressed by how Chunhui Village Program brings wonderful changes. The films were followed by speeches which helped unravel heart-wrenching stories behind what was on the screen.

After the speeches, the speakers presented each of the audience with three special gifts (rice grains--- ChunYan needs them for survival, chalk—Si Si wishes to be a teacher, and a copy of Yuanhui’s wish card). The audience shared how they were touched by the stories and left their best wishes for the three young children.
