On the evening of July 4, Leehom Wang’s “The Best Place” concert took place in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan province. The concert gathered tens of thousands of passionate fans. As Chunhui Children’s Ambassador of Love, Leehom also invited a Chunhui family, the most special one in his eyes, to the concert.
This is a gathering for music and love.
A dream cherished for half a month finally came true.
For every member of this special Chunhui family, July 4 felt like a dream.
Chunhui mama Xu has been a die-hard fan of Leehom for decades. As one of the children under her care, Haixin has also grown into a loyal fan of the singer. Half a month ago, learning that he would go to Leehom’s concert, the boy was so excited that he had trouble falling asleep for several nights. To him, Leehom is more than a music star on the stage—he is also a beam of light that shines upon his life.
On the night of July 4, Haixin sat in the fantastic concert hall hand in hand with his Chunhui mama and dad. When Leehom appeared on stage, they sang along with everyone else. At that moment, without any labels of a welfare institution, they were simply a loving family obsessed with music .
An accidental fall concerned everyone
While everyone was rejoicing with excitement, an accident happened. Leehom tripped over an object and fell heavily on the steps, face and ears starting to bleed......
Haixin and his Chunhui parents held their breath with worry. Haixin gripped Mama Xu’s hand tightly, eyes fixing on the stage. Like thousands of other fans, they felt anxious and then had admiration for the singer’s dedication.

After quick first-aid dressing, Leehom went on singing. He even joked that he was kind of like Vincent Willem van Gogh. At that moment, he was more than just performing on stage; he was telling all the children present: accidents happen, but he who rises up and continues to fight is the greatest hero.
"Brother Leehom, we made these stars for you."
After the concert, the Chunhui family was invited backstage. Leehom greeted them with a smile."You’ve worked so hard," said Mama Xu, eyes welling up with tears.
Haixin stepped forward, gave Leehom a big hug and presented him with a special gift——a jar filled with hand-made shiny paper stars.

“I hope you recover soon and stay healthy,”said the boy, softly but firmly.
Leehom was touched and accepted this precious token of affection. He knew these were no ordinary paper stars—they conveyed the children’s most innocent wishes.
The Best Place is Where There is Love
Everything, including the everyday nurturing care of Chunhui mamas, Leehom’s steadfast commitment to public welfare as Ambassador of Love, and that jar of shiny paper stars, all tell one single truth: the best place is always where there is love.

We wish Leehom recover soon, and may every child served by Chunhui Children thrive and shine like bright stars.
About Chunhui Family
You may wonder: What exactly is a Chunhui family?
We recruit retired couples from communities to form loving families with orphaned children in child welfare institutions.
Over the past 20 years, 1,231 Chunhui families have been set up in welfare institutions across 27 provinces and municipalities, benefiting more than 5,000 children in total. Once abandoned, these children now have their own“Dad”&“Mama” and know the love of a family for the very first time.
These families would be impossible without our long-standing supporters. By the end of 2025, Leehom had supported 100 Chunhui families, enabling more orphaned children to grow under family-like care.
Love brings once homeless children to a home of their own.
